    Instructions

YOUR TASK: You will be given a list of 28 items and activities you could choose to spend your monthly budget on. Unfortunately, your summer jobs earned you enough to choose just 13 of them.

As you go through this activity, you will be presented with real scenarios that will have financial consequences for better or for worse, based upon your initial choices.

You will have a part-time job earning more than the average college student, but you will also be fully responsible for deciding how to spend your money. Do not count on any financial help from family, friends, the school or the government.

YOUR MONEY: Based upon your choices, you will learn how your priorities affect your finances throughout the month. This program will add and subtract money from your account depending upon your lifestyle choices.

PRIVACY: The information you submit will be used only for scoring your experience, generating and delivering your service of completion. We may include related non-personally identifying information in aggregate reports to our funders, board, regulators and auditors. You will NOT receive marketing or even additional informational emails from us as a result of taking this course. *We recognize that not all high school students are planning to go to college and that even many of those planning to go may never end up on college campuses. For the purposes of this activity, though, you will imagine you are in college. Additionally, the scenarios in this course mostly reflect common financial situations in the United States. Learners in other countries may find some financial decisions less relevant, such as those living in countries with state-sponsored health care.
